About Me
I love learning about health and the human body and sharing what I learn. I received my degree in Health Science, from Brigham Young University, with a focus on women’s and children’s health issues and an emphasis in health education. After graduation, I worked as a health educator at Arizona State University overseeing the stress management and suicide prevention programs. During this time I became a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) and later attained my certification as a childbirth educator with the International Childbirth Education Association (ICEA).
I spend my days being a mom to two wonderfully rambunctious little boys. I love to be active and enjoy any exercise from aerobics to yoga. I love creating things and like crafting, sewing, and crocheting. I am a sucker for a good story. Books and movies are my favorite escapes. My husband puts up with all my romantic comedies and I watch sports with him. It’s a fair trade, I think.
